Family Law Firm Overview
A Trial Lawyer Fighting for Your Rights in Family Court
A family law attorney must be aware of the many emotional, financial and legal issues surrounding each case. I provide advocacy and counsel to my clients, protecting their financial and parental rights while demonstrating sensitivity to their overall situations.
My name is Gary Urso, and I have been a practicing trial lawyer for more than 32 years. The majority of my cases involved issues of the family. Whether you need a divorce or assistance with domestic violence issues, I can help. Please call my New Port Richey office at 727-847-7808 for a phone consultation.
My Approach to Family Law
I have a master’s degree in counseling and more than 32 years of experience as a trial lawyer. I am a former assistant state attorney who prosecuted misdemeanors and felonies, and a former state of Florida Department of Health and Rehabilitation Services (HRS) senior attorney, representing the state when children were removed from their parents for abuse, abandonment or neglect. I have been in private practice for 18 years, and the emphasis of my practice is in the area of family law. I am also a Florida Supreme Court certified family mediator. It is my goal to offer individuals and families reasonably priced legal services to help them resolve difficult family law issues in a respectful, productive way.
When I take a family law case, I start by learning the whole of the story, from the beginning of the relationship or situation to the present. I will investigate the various ways in which a client can resolve his or her dispute, including the least costly alternatives such as mediation, counseling and other alternatives to a trial. However, when a client needs to go to family court, I am a tireless and experienced advocate.
Let’s Talk Today
From adoption to modification of child support, I handle nearly any type of family matter. In each situation, my focus is on helping my clients through what is most likely the most difficult time in their lives. My clients receive personal, individualized attention to their legal needs. I will be handling your case, not an associate, and I treat each person with respect and care.
